AEB: Russia’s new car, LCV sales fall 83.5% to 24,268 in May

MOSCOW, Jun 6 (PRIME) -- Russia’s sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) plummeted by 83.5% on the year to 24,268 in May, the Association of European Businesses (AEB) said in a statement on Monday.

In January–May, sales of new cars and LCVs in Russia dropped by 52% to 318,000 vehicles.

Sales of Lada cars in Russia by car producer AvtoVAZ plunged by 84% on the year to 6,000 units in May, and by 58% to 67,200 cars in January–May, the AEB also said.
